Medium work definition

Medium work means exerting twenty to fifty pounds of force occasionally, and/or ten to twenty-five pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to ten pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
Medium work means a kind of work that uses medium force or burns between 200-350 kilocalories of energy per hour such as lifting, pulling, pushing, moving object, pounding, filing, driving a truck or tractor, etc., or other similar work.

Related to Medium work

  • piece-work means any work the pay for which is estimated by the amount of work performed irrespective of the time occupied in its performance;

  • Project Work means the work required to complete the Project.

  • The Work means the work or works to be executed or done under this contract.

  • Installation Work means the construction and installation of the System and the Start-up, testing and acceptance (but not the operation and maintenance) thereof; all performed by or for the Power Producer at the Premises.

  • Contract Work means everything required to be furnished and done by the Contractor by any one or more of the parts of the Contract referred to in Article 1, except Extra Work as hereinafter defined.
