MediShield Life Scheme definition

MediShield Life Scheme means the MediShield Life Scheme referred to in section 3 of the MediShield Life Scheme Act 2015;
MediShield Life Scheme means the Scheme established under section 3 of the MediShield Life Scheme Act 2015 (No. 4 of 2015);

  • Integration with MediShield LifeIf the insured person is a Singapore Citizen or a Singapore Permanent Resident, the insured person will be jointly insured under MediShield Life which is run by the Central Provident Fund Board and governed by the Central Provident Fund Act (Chapter36) and the MediShield Life Scheme Act (Act No.4 of 2015) and any subsidiary legislation made under such acts (the “act and regulations”).

  • Integration with MediShield LifeIf the insured person is a Singapore citizen or a Singapore permanent resident, the insured person will be jointly insured under MediShield Life which is run by the Central Provident Fund Board and governed by the Central Provident Fund Act 1953 and the MediShield Life Scheme Act 2015 and any subsidiary legislation made under such acts (the “act and regulations”).

  • The Regulations refer to the MediShield Life Scheme Regulations 2015 and/or any other revised future edition of the Regulations.

  • Act means the MediShield Life Scheme Act (Act No. 4 of 2015), as amended, extended or re-enacted from time to time, and regulations in relation to the Act, as amended, extended or re-enacted from time to time.

  • The MediShield Life Fund has no shareholders, and all assets of the MediShield Life Fund are for the purpose of providing benefits to MediShield Life members in accordance with the MediShield Life Scheme.

  • Life sciences means science for the examination or understanding of life or life processes, including, but not limited to, all of the following:

  • aeroplane means a power-driven heavier-than-air aircraft, deriving its lift in flight chiefly from aerodynamic reactions on surfaces which remain fixed under given conditions of flight;

  • Radiologic technologist, limited means an individual, other than a licensed radiologic technologist,

  • TELRIC means Total Element Long-Run Incremental Cost.

  • Automotive windshield washer fluid means any liquid designed for use in a motor vehicle windshield washer system either as an antifreeze or for the purpose of cleaning, washing, or wetting the windshield. Automotive windshield washer fluid does not include fluids placed by the manufacturer in a new vehicle.

  • Universal Digital Loop Carrier (UDLC means the DLC system that has a CO terminal channel bank that is connected to the CO switches on the analog side.

  • Medical cannabis means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.

  • Stereotactic radiosurgery means the use of external radiation in conjunction with a stereotactic guidance device to very precisely deliver a therapeutic dose to a tissue volume.

  • Gonad shield means a protective barrier for the testes or ovaries.

  • Cannabis means all parts of the plant Cannabis sativa Linnaeus, Cannabis indica, or Cannabis ruderalis, whether growing or not; the seeds thereof; the resin, whether crude or purified, extracted from any part of the plant; and every compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of the plant, its seeds, or resin. “Cannabis” also means the separated resin, whether crude or purified, obtained from cannabis. “Cannabis” does not include the mature stalks of the plant, fiber produced from the stalks, oil or cake made from the seeds of the plant, any other compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of the mature stalks (except the resin extracted therefrom), fiber, oil, or cake, or the sterilized seed of the plant which is incapable of germination. For the purpose of this division, “cannabis” does not mean “industrial hemp” as defined by Section 11018.5 of the Health and Safety Code. Cannabis and the term “marijuana” may be used interchangeably.

  • Brachytherapy source means a radioactive source or a manufacturer-assembled source train or a combination of these sources that is designed to deliver a therapeutic dose within a distance of a few centimeters.

  • Cannabis wholesaler means any licensed person or entity that purchases or otherwise obtains, stores, sells or otherwise transfers, and may transport, cannabis items for the purpose of resale or other transfer to either another cannabis wholesaler or to a cannabis retailer, but not to consumers.

  • Backsiphonage means the flow of water or other liquids, mixtures or substances into the potable water system from any source other than its intended source, caused by the reduction of pressure in the potable water system.

  • Chain pharmacy warehouse means a physical location for prescription drugs that acts as a central warehouse and performs intracompany sales or transfers of the prescription drugs to a group of chain pharmacies that have the same common ownership and control.

  • Orthotics means the science and practice of evaluating, measuring, designing, fabricating, assembling, fitting, adjusting, or servicing an orthosis under an order from a licensed physician or podiatrist for the correction or alleviation of neuromuscular or musculoskeletal dysfunction, disease, injury, or deformity.

  • Ambulatory surgical center means any public or private State licensed and approved (whenever required by law) establishment with an organized medical staff of Physicians, with permanent facilities that are equipped and operated primarily for the purpose of performing Surgical Procedures, with continuous Physician services and registered professional nursing service whenever a patient is in the facility, and which does not provide service or other accommodations for patients to stay overnight.

  • Integrated Digital Loop Carrier means a subscriber loop carrier system that is twenty-four (24) local Loop transmission paths combined into a 1.544 Mbps digital signal which integrates within the switch at a DS1 level.

  • Epinephrine auto-injector means a device for immediate self-administration or administration by another trained person of a measured dose of epinephrine to a person at risk of anaphylaxis.

  • Kit means a set of components that are packaged together and intended to be used to perform a specific in vitro diagnostic examination, or a part thereof;

  • SDSL or "Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line" is a baseband DSL transmission technology that permits the bi-directional transmission from up to 160 kbps to 2.048 Mbps on a single pair. "VDSL" or "Very High Speed Digital Subscriber Line" is a baseband DSL transmission technology that permits the transmission of up to 52 Mbps downstream (from the Central Office to the End User Customer) and up to 2.3 Mbps digital signal upstream (from the End User Customer to the Central Office). VDSL can also be 26 Mbps symmetrical, or other combination.

  • School bus means every motor vehicle owned by a public or governmental agency or private school and operated for the transportation of pupils, children of pupils, teachers and other persons acting in a supervisory capacity, to or from school or school activities, or, privately owned and operated for compensation for the transportation of pupils, children of pupils, teachers and other persons acting in a supervisory capacity to or from school or school activities (Education Law §11[1] and Vehicle and Traffic Law §142).
