Meat Department definition

Meat Department means the meat preparation and meat display/servery areas of a Coles supermarket. It does not include the deli or other fresh departments.

Examples of Meat Department in a sentence

  • A Meat Cutter may also perform any work in the Meat Department and shall perform such work as assigned.

  • All complaints by Meat Department employees must be filed in writing within fifteen (15) working days of the occurrence of such dispute or disagreement.

  • Space shall be provided in each Meat Department for the posting of this Agreement and notices of meetings, but same shall not be posted until they have been first called to the attention of the Employer.

  • All inventory work in the Meat Department shall be considered as part of the duties of employees to be performed under the requirements of this Agreement.

  • Initiation of any claim by Meat Department employees shall be made within ten (10) calendar days of the discharge.

  • Meat Department employees shall not be required to maintain restrooms.

  • There shall be at least one Head Meat Cutter or Journeyman Meat Cutter scheduled at the store for one (1) eight (8) hour shift to be worked within a nine (9) hour period on each day that the Meat Department is open and products are offered for sale.

  • Work performed in the Meat Department in excess of eight (8) hours on Sundays shall be paid at time and one-half (1½) of the rate of pay for that day.

  • Where a Meat Department employee works a shift including both shift premium pay and daily overtime, he shall receive both but the shift premium pay shall not be included in computing the overtime rate.

  • Upon request, extra Meat Department employees shall be paid in full when their work is completed.
