Maxiflex definition

Maxiflex means a type of flexible work schedule that contains core hours on fewer than 10 workdays in the biweekly pay period and in which a full-time employee has a basic work requirement of 80 hours for the biweekly pay period, but in which an employee, upon supervisory approval, may vary the number of hours worked on a given workday or the number of hours each week consistent with this Article.
Maxiflex. Insert the requested start and stop time for each workday you plan to work. Your tour of duty must include the core hours on at least 8 workdays. Examples of Maxiflex in a sentence

  • Maxiflex scheduled days off, compressed days off and regular telework days will count as a day away from the official worksite for the purpose of this requirement.

  • The default core hours for employees on Maxiflex schedules will be the 3 middle days of the employee’s tour of duty from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., excluding a meal break.

  • In the event the President issues an Executive Order granting a "half-day" holiday, a full- time employee on a Maxiflex work schedule is credited with half the number of hours the employee was scheduled to work, not to exceed 4 hours.
