Master Technician definition

Master Technician. Has a minimum of two years experience as a Senior Technician and is qualified to perform the following tasks: experience in planning and insulation of large complex structured cabling systems. Must be certified in the installation, maintenance, service, testing, and repair of more than one PBX system (if offered by the company) and network computer system. Should be able to install, maintain, and troubleshoot all hardware and software for Win NT or Novell Network servers. Install and program routers, hub, and switches (CISCO, Nortel, 3COM, etc.). Provide startup of all clients on the network, including installation of client application software. Must be experienced in the planning, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of other special systems, such as security/access control, sound reinforcement, media retrieval, wireless/RF, and/or clock systems, etc. Duties may include the supervision of Apprentice/Technicians, Installer/Technicians, Senior Technicians and/or other Master Technicians. Time requirements may be waived by passing a master technician equivalency exam developed by the NJATC and administered by the Local Union or through independent third-party testing sanctioned by the NJATC and supported by the IBEW and NECA.
Master Technician means a person who has completed all Seller-required technical training course on the equipment being serviced. Seller’s Facility and the R&R are ISO 9001: 2000 and Factory Mutual Certified. State-of-the-art test equipment and certified Master Technicians verify all repairs meet or exceed prescribed specifications.

Examples of Master Technician in a sentence

  • Individuals newly hired and employed into the class of Certified Master Technician must have, and must maintain required ASE certifications in either the Automotive Test Series or the Medium/Heavy Truck Test Series and ASE certification as a Master Mechanic.

  • An employee classified as a T – 14 Shift Supervisor, ASE Certified Master Technician and a T-13 Heavy Duty Vehicle Technician shall be eligible for an annual $600 pensionable stipend for each ASE-A, ASE-T or EVT certification over and above that required to satisfy the minimum qualifications for the employee’s classification.

  • If an employee allows the Master Technician status to lapse, the Board will not provide any additional compensation in Section F.1. above for certifications to regain ASE Master Technician status.

  • If one of the required certifications expires, the employee will lose the Master Technician status, and will not be eligible to receive the additional $1.00 per hour until taking and passing the required Recertification Test(s).

  • Mechanics with ASE Master Technician status (i.e., has satisfied S1 through S7) shall receive five hundred dollars ($500) annually.

  • If a new hire is a Master Technician is one of the ASE series referenced above, they would get the starting salary plus $5,000.

  • Any new hires into the Technician occupational group must achieve the necessary requirements to advance to Master Technician status within a three (3) year period.

  • Any Fleet employee who has achieved certification as an ASE Master Technician shall receive an additional three percent (3%) of their base hourly rate.

  • An employee in the series who obtains and maintains the ASE certifications required to be recognized as an ASE Certified Master Technician shall receive additional incentive pay in the amount of 1%.

  • The Company will initiate the review of each Technician for promotion to Master Technician shortly before the time in which the individual has served in the Technician classification for three (3) years.

  • Nail technician means any person who for compensation manicures or pedicures natural nails, or who performs artificial nail services for compensation, or any combination thereof.

  • Pharmacy technician or “technician” means a person who is employed in Iowa by a licensed pharmacy under the responsibility of an Iowa-licensed pharmacist to assist in the technical functions of the practice of pharmacy, and who is registered pursuant to 657—Chapter 3, and includes a certified pharmacy technician, a pharmacy technician trainee, and an uncertified pharmacy technician.

  • Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) means an individual who instructs and assists individuals in the alcohol testing process and who operates the EBT.

  • Screening Test Technician (STT) means anyone who instructs and assists individuals in the alcohol testing process and operates an ASD.

  • Certified pharmacy technician or “certified technician” means an individual who holds a valid current national certification and who has registered with the board as a certified pharmacy technician.
