Master rotation definition

Master rotation or “line rotation” is the master work schedule of off-duty and on-duty shifts which rotates a consistent pattern of shifts that repeat itself during a period no longer than twelve (12) weeks.

Examples of Master rotation in a sentence

  • Master rotation means fixed schedules to which each Employee is assigned or through which the Employees rotate.

  • Copies of any such Master rotation schedules shall be sent to the Union for review.

  • The parties agree that lines 4 and 5 on the Master rotation do not comply with the block scheduling of 4 extended tours as per Article I.2.

  • Such hours of work schedules may include Master rotation schedules which may be developed by mutual agreement at the local level.

  • It is understood on Units where it is not possible to schedule the entire weekend off every third (3rd) weekend for the full time Master rotation, a full time employee, RPT employee who is covering a temporary full time line or job sharer will not receive premium payment for such part weekend worked.

  • Master rotation schedules shall be posted and available to affected staff for a period of seven (7) days to allow for review.

  • There shall be no changes made to the Master rotation during the trial period without the consent of either the Hospital or the Union.

  • Master rotation shall be a continuous four (4) consecutive days scheduled to work and two (2) consecutive scheduled days off.

  • Master rotation schedules will be developed by the Employer jointly with Employees from all units and reviewed by the scheduling committee as per C.10.

  • When more than one Master rotation option is available all nurses will vote, by secret ballot conducted by the Union, to determine which schedule will be implemented.
