Prior to the selection process as described in section 7.3, candidates will be required to pass a physical agility test reasonably designed to measure their ability to perform the Marine Unit role. This test shall be administered on a pass/fail basis; a member must pass the test to continue in the selection process. d. The department will maintain a minimum of 10‐officers in the Marine Unit. e. Management reserves the right to determine how many Marine Unit officers are required in the event of a call‐in. Call‐ins, as well as posted harbor patrol details will be compensated per Article 6. f. Marine Unit officers will receive training in general watercraft operation, care, operation and maintenance of related equipment, navigation training, related waterway laws, and skills required for operation around divers. g.
