Management Surplus definition

Management Surplus means, at any date, the sum at such date, without duplication, of (a) Surplus of the Company and (b) AVR of the Company and any other reserve established and maintained by the Company with respect to its invested assets (except for reserves established for separate accounts), either voluntarily or pursuant to requirements of applicable law, the NAIC, the Insurance Department of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or any other state or federal regulatory authority having jurisdiction over the Company, in addition to or in substitution for or replacement of AVR (other than an interest maintenance reserve or other similar reserve).
Management Surplus means, at any date, the sum, at such date, without duplication, of (a) surplus of the Company and (b) (i) MRVR of the Company, (ii) MSVR of the Company and (iii) any other reserve established and maintained by the Company with respect to its invested assets, either voluntarily or pursuant to requirements of applicable law, the NAIC, the Insurance Department of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or any other state or federal regulatory authority having jurisdiction over the Company, in addition to or in substitution for or replacement of either or both of MRVR and MSVR.
