Major Updates definition

Major Updates involve additions of substantial functionality while "Minor Updates" do not. Major Updates are designated by a change in the number to the left of the decimal point of the number appearing after the product name while Minor Updates are designated by a change in such number to the right of the decimal point. Minor Updates shall also include bug patches and bug fixes as mutually agreed upon. Netscape is the sole determiner of the availability and designation of an update as a Major or Minor Update. Major Updates exclude software releases which are reasonably designated by Netscape as new products. Where used herein, "Netscape Updates" shall mean Major Updates and Minor Updates interchangeably.
Major Updates means new or separate major version releases providing significant new functionality.
Major Updates means releases of the Software that constitute a minor improvement in functionality. For clarity, Major Updates are a subset of “Updates.”

Examples of Major Updates in a sentence

  • If you receive Minor Updates or Major Updates pursuant to this Agreement, you acknowledge that such updates replace and/or supplement (and may disable) the version of the Software that formed the basis for your eligibility for the update.

  • Despite the foregoing and except as provided by separate agreement, Major Updates will not be supplied by Supplier after May 31, 2003 and no Updates will be delivered after Supplier terminates its general distribution of the Supplier Product.

  • You may install Minor Updates or Major Updates over your existing installation only during the Term of the Agreement OR in case of a Full Edition under a Perpetual Mode – when You are within a Consecutive Support Period.

  • For clarification purposes, the following interventions are excluded from support and corrective maintenance: (i) interventions rendered unnecessary by patches included in updates prior to the last two Major Updates or (ii) versions of the software that have been installed for more than two years at the date of the request for support or corrective maintenance, with the exception of security patches considered critical by the Supplier.

  • Tjene will provide all generally available Minor and Major Updates of Licensed Software to Customer.

Related to Major Updates

  • Software Updates means the Software releases, service packs, build updates or emergency fixes released from time to time in accordance with the Vocera’s update policy for such Software.

  • Updates are changes that do not require a change to the established Centralized Contract terms and conditions. A request to add new products at the same or better price level is an example of an update. “Amendments” are any changes that are not specifically covered by the terms and conditions of the Centralized Contract, but inclusion is found to be in the best interest of the State.
