Major offense. Any student actions resulting in a suspension or expulsion will result in the Student Council member being removed from their responsibilities. ➢ You will put 100% into achieving our goals and making the year a success. ➢ You will be cooperative and courteous to students, faculty, staff and any guest to Palos East Elementary School. ➢ Be aware that you will be more visible than most students. ➢ You will make every possible effort to be on time to every Student Council activity. If there is some reason that you must be late or absent you will notify the sponsor, directly, in advance. If you have a problem or complaint, you will make every effort to find a time for us to discuss it privately. ➢ You will not put others down for their views or opinions. ➢ You will not abuse the privilege of being in Student Council. ➢ NO ONE is to leave class or a Student Council activity without the sponsor’s permission. ➢ You agree to participate in ALL Student Council activities and spirit days. ➢ Student Council students are expected to wear their Student Council tee shirts to all activities as designated by the sponsor. Student Council members are required to participate in two hours of community service by April 1st. All Student Council members must submit the signed Volunteer Hours sheet to the student council sponsors by April 1st. See the Community Service Form for details. Major offense means a violation of one or more of the rules of supervision for which a major sanction may be imposed if the accused youth is found guilty. A major offense is an offense listed in s. DOC 373.11 (4) or any offense listed in the youth’s con- duct rules which is identified as a major offense.
