Major Inspection definition

Major Inspection means a comprehensive inspection of a Covered Unit (including the repair or replacement of necessary Parts and the performance of necessary Services), which is recommended by the manufacturer to be performed at intervals of approximately 2400 Factored Starts for the Unit, as further defined in the Appendix C to this Contract and is one type of Planned Maintenance.
Major Inspection means, with respect to the combustion turbine of the Dedicated Unit, inspection of the combustor baskets, transitions, Fuel nozzles, transition seals, removal of the turbine cover and inspection of the turbine vanes and blades, removal of the compressor cover, inspection of the rotor, inspection of compressor diaphragms, and other such maintenance performed in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
Major Inspection means an inspection at a site at which 60 or more, but fewer than 250, relevant persons are employed;

  • Buyer, at its option, may elect to extend the term of this Contract for each Unit individually by delivery of written notice to Seller not later than six (6) months prior to the date scheduled for the first Major Inspection of such Covered Unit, but in no event shall any such election be made more than twenty-four (24) years after the Performance Start Date for such Unit.
