LTSS means long-term services and supportsassistance with the activities of daily living (eating, bathing, dressing, transferring, toileting, and continence) and instrumental activities of daily living (e.g. shopping, housework, and meal preparation, which allow an individual to live independently in the community).

LTSS means a broad range of personal care assistance that people may need – for several weeks, months, or years – when they experience difficulty completing self-care tasks as a result of aging, chronic illness, or disability. Long-term care services and supports also include community services such as meals, adult day care, and transportation services.
