Low stringency definition

Low stringency means that, in each locus compared between two DNA profiles, at least one allele of that locus must be present in the other DNA profile. This stringency is used to find parent-child re- lationships.

  • Erosion means the detachment and movement of soil or rock fragments by water, wind, ice, or gravity.

  • Overvote means that the elector marks or designates more names than there are persons to be elected to an office or designates more than one answer to a ballot question, and the tabulator records no vote for the office or question.
