Lost workdays means the number of days (consecutive or not) after, but not including, the day of injury or illness during which the employee would have worked but could not do so; that is, could not perform all or any part of his normal assignment during all or any part of the workday or shift, because of the occupational injury or illness.

Lost workdays means the number of workdays beyond the day of injury, illness or disease that an employee would have worked but could not because of the occupational injury, illness or disease. The day of injury is not counted as a lost workday. The number of days lost includes all workdays (consecutive or not) on which, because of the injury, illness or disease, the employee was normally scheduled to work but could not work a complete workday or shift.
