Lodging Charges definition

Lodging Charges means the charges set forth in the Lodging Businesses’ Initiation Petition to the Legislative Authority as provided for in RCW 35.101.020 and .050, and adopted by the Legislative Authority. The Legislative Authority will, in turn, impose the Lodging Charges on the Operators of Lodging Businesses within the Skagit County TPA. These charges will be passed on by the Operators to the guests of the Lodging Businesses, under the authority of the TPA Act, for the purpose of providing funding for tourism promotion in the boundaries of the Skagit County TPA.

Examples of Lodging Charges in a sentence

  • Except as otherwise agreed by Skagit County and Consultant, Skagit County shall be the owner of all property and equipment purchased in furtherance of this Agreement from the revenue generated by the Lodging Charges.

  • As provided for in RCW 35.101.090, as amended, the Lodging Charges shall be administered by the State of Washington, Department of Revenue and shall be collected by Lodging Businesses from those persons who are taxable by the State of Washington under chapter 82.08 RCW.

  • Skagit County, as the Legislative Authority, shall act as fiscal agent for the Skagit County TPA and shall be responsible for receiving Lodging Charges from the State Treasurer and holding such funds in a segregated account(s) until remitted to the Skagit County TPA and/or its Consultant pursuant to Section 8 of this Agreement.

  • The Legislative Authority shall contract with the State Department of Revenue for the administration and collection of the Lodging Charges pursuant to the provisions of RCW 35.101.090.

  • Any change in the Lodging Charges rates, or classification as set in the resolution of the Legislative Authority, shall be made only by amendment of the ordinance by the Legislative Authority, and only upon written request by the Operators of Lodging Businesses in the proposed area who would pay sixty percent or more of the proposed charges.

  • All the terms and conditions agreed upon by the Parties concerning the establishment of the Skagit County TPA and the collection of Lodging Charges from Operators of Lodging Businesses.

  • Skagit County, as the Legislative Authority, will consider the proposed Annual Budget and Annual Business Plan recommended by the Skagit TPA Advisory Board, setting forth the anticipated revenues from the Lodging Charges for the upcoming fiscal year and providing for the proposed use of such revenue, for the purposes set forth in this Agreement, for the upcoming fiscal year, and once approved, will provide a copy of the Annual Budget and Annual Business Plan to the Parties.

  • It is further understood and agreed by the Parties the Lodging Charges imposed under this Agreement are in addition to the special assessments that may be levied under chapter 35.87A RCW.

  • All Lodging Charges received by Skagit County, as fiscal agent for the Skagit County TPA, from the State Department of Revenue, and any interest thereon, shall be deposited by Skagit County in a special account, for the benefit of the Skagit County TPA.

  • The court shall render summary judgment “if the pleadings, depositions, answers to interrogatories, and admissions on file, together with the affidavits, if any, show that there is no genuine issue as to any material fact and that the moving party is entitled to a judgment as a matter of law.” Fed.

Related to Lodging Charges

  • Carrying Charges or "rental" means all regular charges paid on a periodic basis to a housing corporation by a person or family living in a rental or cooperative housing project, excluding initial down payments.

  • Restructuring Charges means any charges or expenses in respect of restructuring or consolidating any business, operations or facilities, any compensation or headcount reduction, or any other cost savings, of any Persons or businesses either alone or together with the Company or any Restricted Subsidiary, as permitted by GAAP or Regulation S-X under the Securities Act.

  • Hedging Costs means the hedging costs between the reference currency of the Unit class and the base currency of the Sub-fund, corresponding to the difference (in percentage terms), on each Valuation Date, between (i) the price of the 3-month maturity exchange rate between the reference currency of the Unit class and the base currency of the Sub-fund, and (ii) the spot rate of the same exchange rate.

  • operating charge means any amount charged to a client by a registered firm in respect of the operation, transfer or termination of a client’s account and includes any federal, provincial or territorial sales taxes paid on that amount;

  • Recurring Charges means where you allow a Merchant to bill your Account for a specified or unspecified amount, at regular or irregular intervals for goods or services;

  • CCAA Charges means the Administration Charge and the Directors’ Charge;

  • parking charge means the charge paid by drivers to leave a vehicle in a parking place;

  • Financing Costs means for each calendar day the product of:

  • SLDC Charges means the charges levied by the SLDC of the state wherein the Solar Power Project is located;

  • Administrative Charge means, with respect to any Lease, any payment (whether or not part of the fixed monthly payment) payable to the related Lessor representing a disposition fee, a late payment fee, an Extension Fee, an allocation to the related Lessee of insurance premiums, sales, personal property or excise taxes or any other similar charge.

  • Non-Recurring Charges means any charges imposed by the TDSP or other third parties on a non-recurring basis for services, repairs or additional equipment needed for Customer’s electric service.

  • Administrative Costs means all costs and expenses associated with providing notice of the Settlement to the Settlement Class and otherwise administering or carrying out the terms of the Settlement. Such costs may include, without limitation: escrow agent costs, the costs of publishing the summary notice, the costs of printing and mailing the Notice and Proof of Claim, as directed by the Court, and the costs of allocating and distributing the Net Settlement Fund to the Authorized Claimants. Such costs do not include legal fees.

  • Debt charges means the principal, including any mandatory sinking fund deposits and mandatory redemption payments, interest, and any redemption premium, payable on securities as those payments come due and are payable. The use of "debt charges" for this purpose does not imply that any particular securities constitute debt within the meaning of the Ohio Constitution or other laws.

  • Charges shall have the meaning assigned to such term in Section 9.09.

  • Installation Charges means those Charges set out in the Order in relation to installation of the Service and/or any Purchased Equipment, Customer Equipment and/or BT Equipment as applicable.

  • Non-Cash Charges has the meaning specified in the definition of the term “Consolidated EBITDA”.

  • Hire Charges means the rates and charges payable by You for the hire of the Equipment.

  • Utility Costs means utility and home energy costs related to the occupancy of rental property (e.g. electricity, gas, water and sewer, trash removal, and energy costs (such as fuel oil)) that are separately-stated charges. Utility Costs do not include telecommunication services (e.g. telephone, cable, and internet services).

  • Maintenance Costs means parts and materials, sublet and labour costs of a qualified licensed mechanic for the maintenance of the Revenue Service Vehicles, but shall not include costs associated with interior and exterior transit advertising signs and non-mechanical servicing of Revenue Service Vehicles such as fuelling, clearing fareboxes, cleaning and painting wheel rims, vehicle washing and other work performed by a serviceman; and,

  • Utility Charges means water, sewer, electricity, gas and other utility charges, if any, applicable to the Real Property or the Leased Real Property;

  • Restructuring Costs means the costs, including both direct and indirect, of restructuring activities. Restructuring costs that may be allowed include, but are not limited to, severance pay for employees, early retirement incentive payments for employees, employee retraining costs, relocation expense for retained employees, and relocation and rearrangement of plant and equipment. For purposes of this definition, if restructuring costs associated with external restructuring activities allocated to DoD contracts are less than $2.5 million, the costs shall not be subject to the audit, review, and determination requirements of paragraph (c)(4) of this subsection; instead, the normal rules for determining cost allowability in accordance with FAR Part 31 shall apply.

  • Bond Service Charges means, for any period or payable at any time, the principal of, premium, if any, and interest on the Bonds for that period or payable at that time whether due at maturity or upon redemption, Mandatory Tender or acceleration.

  • Administrative Fees shall have the meaning assigned to such term in Section 2.06(b).

  • Collection Costs means an amount that the Municipality can charge with regard to the enforcement of a consumer’s monetary obligations;

  • Prime costs and “Prime cost sum” means the amount actually paid by the contractor for any article, commodity or special work and shall include all proper charges for packing, carriage and delivery to site, after deduction of all trade documents, rebates and allowances and the discount obtainable for cash insofar as such discount for cash exceeds 2½%.

  • Administrative Fee is defined in Section 4.1(a).
