Local Workforce Development System definition

Local Workforce Development System means programs that use private and/or public (local, state, and federal) funds to prepare workers for employment, upgrade worker skills, retrain workers, or provide employment or retention services for workers or employers.
Local Workforce Development System means all those entities which are responsible for and operate or administer workforce development, employment, education and other human resource programs and activities within the Local Workforce Development Area.
Local Workforce Development System. The system established in accordance with WIOA Section 121 through which career services, access to training services, employment and training activities, and partner programs and activities as well as related support and specialized services are made available to workers and employers in a local area.
