Local Providers definition

Local Providers means physicians, clinics, hospitals, durable medical equipment providers, nursing homes and other providers of medical services operating in the Contractor’s area. “Managed Care Entity (MCE)” are comprised of Managed Care Organizations (“MCOs”), Primary Care Case Management, Prepaid Inpatient Health Plans (“PIHPs”), and Prepaid Ambulatory Plans (“PAHPs”). MCEs provide services to its Medicaid enrollees through contracted arrangements between DIH and the MCE.

  • Either Party may deliver traffic destined to terminate at the other Party's end office via another Local Provider's tandem subject to the reciprocal compensation arrangements of this Agreement provided that the Party originating the traffic has established a compensation agreement with the other Local Provider appropriate to such arrangement.

  • In the event that AWS sends traffic through GTE's network to a third-party Local Provider with whom AWS does not have traffic interexchange agreement, AWS shall indemnify GTE pursuant to Section 23 of Article III for any costs or expenses arising from demands made by third-party Local Providers for the transport and termination of AWS-originated traffic.
