Liquid service definition

Liquid service means equipment which processes, transfers or contains an organic compound or mixture of organic compounds in the liquid phase.
Liquid service means equipment which processes, transfers or contains one or more volatile organic compounds as a liquid having a Reid vapor pressure greater than 0.1 psia.
Liquid service means that the equipment or component contains process fluid that is in a liquid state at operating conditions.

Examples of Liquid service in a sentence

  • Liquid service flange diameters and drillings shall meet ANSI B16.5 150-pound standard.

  • Liquid service valves, capacity certified by ASME, are required to reach full rated capacity at 10% or less overpressure.• In the closing cycle, as the overpressure decreases, momentum and reactive forces decrease, allowing the spring force to move the disc back into contact with the seat.• Historically, many pressure relief valves used in liquid applications were safety relief or relief valves designed for compressible (vapor) service.

  • The log-normal distribution was also selected for the Liquid service data because of the same reasons (Table 9 and Figure 8).

  • Liquid service valves, capacity certified by ASME, are required to reach full rated capacity at 10% or less overpressure. In the closing cycle, as the overpressure decreases, momentum and reactive forces decrease, allowing the spring force to move the disc back into contact with the seat. Historically, many pressure relief valves used in liquid applications were safety relief or relief valves designed for compressible (vapor) service.

  • Note: Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturing Industries (SOCMI) emission factors are not to be used for estimation of refinery fugitive emissions.2. For process units which are subject to strict fugitive emission control, for example, HF and CCl4, the emissions may be considered negligible and assumed to be zero.3. Aqueous streams containing 10% hydrocarbon by weight are treated as in Heavy Liquid service for emission estimation purposes.
