Liming material definition

Liming material means any material which contains calcium or calcium and magnesium compounds, is capable of neutralizing soil acidity and is manufactured, sold or distributed for the purpose of neutralizing soil acidity or liming barns. “Lim- ing material” includes any form of limestone, quicklime, hydrated lime, marl, paper mill refuse lime, blast furnace slag or mine tail- ings.
Liming material means all materials, the calcium and magnesium content of which is used to neutralize soil acidity, and includes the oxide, hydrate, carbonate, and silicate forms, as defined by rule, or combinations of those forms. Liming material includes materials such as the following:
Liming material means any agricultural liming material and any industrial co-product used to

More Definitions of Liming material

Liming material means inorganic or organic substances or products containing mainly calcium or magnesium or both elements which usually occur as oxides, hydroxides, carbonates or silicates and which are mainly intended for reducing soil acidity;
Liming material means any agricultural liming material and any industrial co-product used to neutralize soil acid as defined in this chapter.
Liming material means an agricultural liming material that consists of or contains lime or dolomite that has an effective neutralising value of less than 50.0%;
Liming material means all materials, the calcium and magnesium content of which is used to neutralize soil acidity, and includes the oxide, hydrate, carbonate, and silicate forms, as defined by rule, or combinations of those forms. Liming material includes materials such as limestone, hydrated lime, burnt lime, or marl and shell.
Liming material or “LM” means a liming material of industrial or municipal sources referred to in list 1 of Schedule II composed primarily of calcium or magne- sium, generally in the form of oxide, hydroxide, carbonate or silicate, used primarily to improve or maintain the quality of soil as a growing medium by raising its pH; (amendement calcique ou magnésien ou ACM)
Liming material or “LM” means a material referred to in the scope of BNQ 0419-090 “Inorganic Soil Conditioners – Liming Materials from Industrial Processes” published on 25 February 2021, that is a liming product of industrial or municipal sources composed primarily of calcium or magnesium, generally in the form of oxides, hydroxides, carbonates or silicates, used pri- marily to improve or maintain the quality of soil as a plant growing medium by raising its pH; (amendement calcique ou magnésien ou ACM)
