Liberal construction definition

Liberal construction means that the interpretation of this document shall not only be based on the actual words and phrases used in it, but also by taking its deemed or stated purpose into account.
Liberal construction means a legal concept instructing parties interpreting a statute to give an expansive meaning to terms and provisions within the statute. The goal of liberal construction is to give full effect in implementing a statute’s requirements. See RCW 90.58.900.
Liberal construction means an interpretation that applies in writing in light of the situation presented that tends to effectuate the spirit and purpose of the writing.
