Collateral received is segregated from the assets belonging to each Funds’ Depositary or the Securities Lending Agent.
Securities lending transactions entered into by the Funds are subject to a written legal agreement between the Funds and the Securities Lending Agent, BlackRock Advisors (UK) Limited, a related party to the Company, and separately between the Securities Lending Agent and the approved borrowing counterparty.
The Client also acknowledges that, to the extent that either the Client or the Approved Borrower is a non-U.S. resident, the Lending Agent may be required to withhold tax on amounts payable to or by the Client pursuant to a securities loan and may at any time claim from the Client any shortfall in the amount so withheld.
