  • In accordance with Section 8.12.02 of the Ground Lease, the GTAA has established the Noise Management Committee (the “NMC”) whose mandate is to examine and review the mitigation of noise emanating from aircraft using LBPIA.

  • It establishes a framework for the City and GTAA to cooperatively address the development and operation of LBPIA in a manner that recognizes community concerns as well as economic benefits.

  • The Parties agree to diligently and in good faith work toward concluding a service level agreement to address future operational issues at LBPIA.

  • Recognizing that the Airport Authority has a 60 year lease to manage, operate and maintain LBPIA, it is also important that the City and the GTAA establish an effective, long term working relationship.

  • The Parties acknowledge that as Canada’s most important air transportation asset, it is critical that LBPIA keep pace with the air traffic demands of today and into the future.
