Land Surface Modification definition

Land Surface Modification means any movement or modification of earth material on any site. “Landslide hazard areas” means areas at risk of mass movement due to a combination of geologic, topographic, and hydrologic factors. These areas are typically susceptible to landslides because of a combination of factors including bedrock, soil, slope (gradient), slope aspect, geologic structure, ground water, hydrology, or other factors.
Land Surface Modification means the clearing or removal of trees, shrubs, groundcover and other vegetation, excluding trees, and all grading, excavation and filling of materials.
