LAeq T definition

LAeq T. Means the A-weighted equivalent continuous equal energy level (dBA) with T= to 1 hour during daytime and 5mins at night time measurements.

Examples of LAeq T in a sentence

  • The total equivalent continuous A-weighted sound pressure level (LAeq T), shall be calculated by using the different noise levels (LAeq, Ti) and associated time periods with the following equation: Lex,24h = LAeq,24h when seafarers are on board over a period of 24 hours.

  • Noise from the installation shall not give rise to sound pressure levels (LAeq, T) measured at the NSLs of the installation which exceed the limit value(s).

  • Noise from the installation shall not give rise to sound pressure levels (LAeq, T) measured at the boundary of the installation which exceed the limit values.

  • It is suggested that these activities will emit a noise level of 10 dB (A) LAeq T greater than background noise based on the average noise level over a 12 hour period proposed by PPG 24 – Planning and Noise.

  • LAeq (T): Equivalent continuous sound level – the sound level of a steady sound having the same energy as a fluctuating sound over a specified measuring period (T),e.g. see recommended night-time limit of LAeq (15 minutes) 45 dB(A) in Chapter 4, paragraph 6, above.

  • Specify: A - noise level expressed as LAeq, T over a time period X (e.g. 1 hour) T - time of day C19.

  • The dwellings hereby permitted shall be designed to ensure that the following internal noise levels are not exceeded due to environmental noise: Bedrooms - 30dB LAeq, T* and 45dB LAFmax Living rooms - 30dB LAeq, T** * - Night-time 8 hours between 23:00-07:00 ** - Daytime 16 hours between 07:00-23:00.
