king pin means the device that connects the upper half to the lower half of a coupling device in a manner that permits relative motion in a horizontal plane between a towed vehicle and a towing vehicle;
king pin means the trailer part of the mechanical coupling of a transport trailer normally attached to fifth wheel of the tractor.
