K-5. All teachers in the building will receive a score based on a comparison of building ELA and Math scores to statewide ELA and Math scores. The percentage of 4th and 5th grade students in the building achieving levels 3/4 will be compared to the statewide percentage of 4th and 5th grade students achieving levels 3/4. Each comparison will yield a difference. Each teacher will be scored based on an average of the two differences. The score will be converted into HEDI points according to the table in section IV(d). In each elementary building, all teachers will receive the same HEDI score.

Examples of K-5 in a sentence

  • Elementary teachers (K-5) will not be required to attend more than three (3) night activities per year exclusive of scheduled parent-teacher conferences.

  • Unit Members in grades K-5 shall be entitled to a duty-free, twenty (20) minute morning recess subject to the availability of District employed aides.

  • To accommodate parent schedules, K-5 teachers may schedule conference appointments during conference days, before or after school, or in the evenings.

  • Elementary (K-5) Resource Specialist, and Elementary ELL, Reading Specialists, and Speech/Language teachers shall be given up to four days of released time per year, or a stipend equal to a maximum of four days at the daily rate specified in Appendix H, for the purpose of attending and participating in bi-annual Fall and Spring parent conferences beyond the federal and state mandated meetings (e.g. IEP meetings).

  • Students in Grades K-5 and 6-8 will each be assigned to single schools to facilitate ease of access to online tools and resources such as Skyward/Schoology/Seesaw.

  • Elementary (K-5) classroom teachers shall, upon request, be furnished with two (2) half-day guest teachers to complete their Student Assessments/Running Records in the very best positive testing situation to provide the students a testing environment free from class distraction.

  • This one (1) meeting will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, unless modified in accordance with Section K.5. The Monday and Friday, preceding and following the meeting date will be reserved for travel to and from the meeting locations and pre- and post- meeting uniform committee work, if necessary.

  • Elementary teachers K-5 shall normally have a guaranteed break during recess periods.

  • Elementary schools will provide Grade K-5 parents with one formal conference each year.
