Joints definition

Joints referred to in the Coverage Rules of the ABWFMM shall mean all types of joints including but not limited to butt joints, filler joints, movements joints, expansion and contraction joints, control joints and the like of any material (e.g. mortar, sealants, backing rods, metal sections, etc), whether within the body of an item of work and/or at the boundary of an item of work, and shall be deemed to include all works necessary for the proper execution and completion of the joints. ii July 1998 ABWF Standard Method of Measurement SECTION 2. Examples of Joints in a sentence

  • Joints shall be at least 15mm wide filled with 1:2 cement sand mortar.
