JIP definition

JIP means a Joint Industry Project.
JIP has the meaning ascribed to it in the preamble of this Agreement.

Examples of JIP in a sentence

  • Where technically feasible, the Party originating the traffic will identify the true calling party number for 99.5% of their calls and populate the Jurisdictional Information Parameter (JIP) field on the call record detail.

  • All CCS signaling parameters will be provided including CPN, JIP, Originating Line Information Parameter (OLIP) on calls to 8XX telephone numbers, calling party category, Charge Number, etc.

  • For all traffic measurements, AT&T- 21STATE will use JIP as the preferred method to classify the call as InterMTA-Interstate and InterMTA-Intrastate for usage billing.

  • If WSP fails to populate JIP in accordance with the industry standard, then AT&T-21STATE will use either Originating Location Routing Number (“OLRN”), or originating NPA/NXX (calling party), or any another mutually agreed upon indicator that identifies cell site or originating Mobile Telephone Service Office (“MTSO”)to classify the call as InterMTA- Interstate and InterMTA-Intrastate for usage billing.

  • The Parties agree to send all message indicators, including originating telephone number, local routing number, CIC or JIP.

  • In either case, Carrier will deliver JIP within six months from effective date.

  • AT&T MICHIGAN will not be liable for any CPN, JIP, LRN, or CPI that is not passed from another carrier.

  • In addition, the Jurisdictional Identification Parameter (JIP) field will be populated with the first six digits (NPA-NXX format) of the appropriate LRN of the originating switch.

  • These parameters include Automatic Number Identification (ANI), Calling Party Number (CPN), Privacy Indicator, Jurisdictional Indicator Parameter (JIP), calling party category information, originating line information, such as Carrier Information Parameter (CIP), wherever such information is needed for call routing, measuring, recording, or billing.

  • AT&T and Ameritech agree that, if Ameritech cannot currently incorporate the JIP, Ameritech and AT&T will agree to provide Ameritech an ANI for Ameritech to provision the applicable trunk groups with an "hard-coded" ANI in place of the JIP (to appropriately guide usage records).
