JASY definition

JASY refers to Jamaican Advantage thru Sports for Youth, a mission outreach program serving at-risk children in Jamaica. “JASY Programs”, as used herein, include any JASY Camp or JASY Mission Outreach program approved and conducted by JASY on its own or in collaboration with an international host organization or organizations such as St. Patrick’s Foundation, the University of Technology and Bread Basket Ministries.

  • The Volunteer gives permission to the Church / JASY and the host organizations to use the participants name, likeness (photo /video) and statements / written reports provided in promoting this and similar JASY programs.

  • This Statement provides certain general information for JASY Volunteers and their families.

  • JASY or the Church liable for any claims incurred by reason of your failure or refusal to conform to the requirements or policies.

  • Volunteers should provide the JASY Volunteer Coordinator with their passport information including: the Legal Name on their Passport, Passport Number, Issue Location, Issue and Expiration dates, Nationality and Birthdate as well as a copy of the photo identification page of their passport.

  • If you should have any questions concerning this Statement or participation in any JASY program, please contact the JASY Trip Leader or Volunteer Coordinator.

  • JASY / the Church is not responsible for the defense of a participant accused of a violation of the laws of the host country and is not responsible for the payment of any fines or other penalties resulting from such violations.

  • The Individual will not be permitted to participate in any JASY Program unless this Statement is executed by both the Individual and his/her parent/guardian, if the volunteer is under eighteen (18) years of age.

  • JASY requires that all Volunteers sign a Statement of Responsibility and Waiver of Liability which acknowledges the volunteer / parent understands the potential risk, assumes responsibility, indemnifies and holds harmless JASY, its officers, directors, agents, and volunteers including you as a Trip Leader / ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.
