Jacking definition

Jacking. – means pushing a pipe horizontally under a roadway by mechanical means with or without boring.
Jacking means the placement of an underground utility line beneath a channel by means of horizontally pushing, drilling or otherwise forcing through the earth below the channel in such a way that the channel is not disturbed.
Jacking means a method for installing pipes underground without disturbing the surface by pushing a pipe horizontally by mechanical means without boring.
