A minimum of 144 hours of support/mentoring and supervision shall be provided to each Intern teacher per school year with an additional 45 hours of support and supervision provided to an intern who enters the program without a valid English Learner authorization.
In total, a minimum of one hundred forty-four (144) hours of support/mentoring and supervision will be provided to each Intern teacher per school year, including coaching, modeling, and demonstrating within the classroom, assistance with course planning and problem solving regarding students, curriculum and development of effective teaching methodologies.
The minimum support/mentoring and supervision provided to an Intern teacher who assumes daily teaching responsibilities after the beginning of the school year will be equal to four (4) hours times the number of instructional weeks remaining in the school year, this taking into account the requirement for a minimum of five (5) hours every five (5) instructional days of adequate supervision.
