Inter-System Handover definition

Inter-System Handover the process of transferring a GSM call from one switch to another without service interruption. This definition includes handovers from 1900 MHz to 8▇▇ ▇▇▇, ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇ to 1900 MHz, 1900 MHz to 1900 MHz, or 850 MHz to 850Mz systems. Handover functionality requires interconnecting circuits between the switches and database updates associated with Border Cell Site configurations.
