Institutional Sector definition

Institutional Sector means private or public organizations such as schools, hospitals, prisons, religious establishments, and not-for-profit organizations, whose purpose is to provide for the public welfare.

  • This is a Provincial Agreement within the meaning of the Labour Relations Act of Ontario and as such applies to the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Sector of the Construction Industry.

  • Article PNEUMATIC CONTROLS The following terms and conditions shall apply to pneumatic contractors while performing work in the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Sector of the construction industry under this Collective Agreement: Article CREW SIZE The need for, the designation of, and the determination of the number of journeymen, foremen, or general foremen is solely the responsibility of the Employer.

  • All the work covered above, shall apply to the Industrial, Commercial, Construction, Institutional Sector and shall include Residential work, as a part of this Agreement.

  • Maintenance Mechanics, save and except persons above the rank of working Forepersons, employed by Employers in the Province of Ontario engaged in all of the Employers maintenance and/or service activities and all construction work in the Province of Ontario, other than construction work in the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Sector in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade.

  • Institutional Client means a major commercial bank, corporation, insurance company, or substantially similar institution, which, as a substantial part of its business operations, purchases or sells securities and makes use of custodial services.

  • Institutional means lands or Buildings used or designed or intended for use by an organized body, society or religious group for promoting a public or non-profit purpose and shall include, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Places of Worship, medical clinics and Special Care Facilities;

  • Institutional control means the continued surveillance, monitoring, and care of the disposal site after site closure and stabilization to insure the protection of the public health, safety, and welfare, and the

  • Institutional use means use within the lines of, or on property necessary for the operation of buildings such as hospitals, schools, libraries, auditoriums, and office complexes.
