Instation definition

Instation means a computer based system which collects or receives metering data on a routine basis from selected Outstations;
Instation means a component of the Detection and Enforcement Infrastructure in which Data and Evidential Records originating at the Outstations are stored, checked and processed before being transferred to the Core IT Systems;

Examples of Instation in a sentence

  • The metering data retrieved by the IU should be compatible with the Instation.

  • The data retrieved by the Interrogation Unit shall be compatible with the Settlement Instation.

  • Normally metering data will be collected by the Settlement Instation by a daily interrogation, but repeat collections of metering data shall be possible throughout the Outstation data storage period.

  • Time synchronisation of the Outstation may be performed remotely by the Settlement Instation as part of the normal interrogation process or locally by an Interrogation Unit.
