Innovative Programs definition

Innovative Programs shall be defined as any program with 15 the following characteristics: 16 ⬩ Are site based 17 ⬩ Are school wide 18 ⬩ Are educational in nature 19 ⬩ Are designed by the teaching staff and administration 20 of a school site 21 ⬩ Are new and/or unique in approach to reaching the 22 district’s goals 23 Programs that do not alter the rights or benefits of bargaining unit 24 members as defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement shall not 25 qualify as “innovative programs”. Additionally, programs that are 26 implemented on a district-wide basis shall not qualify as “innovative 27 programs.” This paragraph shall in no way abrogate the rights provided to 28 OEA under the EERA.

Examples of Innovative Programs in a sentence

  • Waivers or pilots established under section B (Contract Waiver and Oversight Committee) shall not be reviewed or monitored by the New and Innovative Programs Committee.

  • Management retains the right to modify the Innovative Programs based on the review of results compared to the objectives of the Innovative Programs, after consultation with the Union.

  • The Parties agree to hold status and progress meetings twice a year, in March and September to insure the focus of the objectives and review results of the various Innovative Programs.

  • Since pay increases are based on skill levels, the current Merit Increase plan, Article 24, Section B, will not apply to employees in one of the Innovative Programs job classifications.

  • In order to retain the flexibility and benefit of the Innovative Programs set forth in Sections A and B above, all such programs may be modified from time to time by separate letter agreement outside of the bargaining process.

  • The Parties agree to appoint a Standing Committee to hold status and progress meetings twice a year, in March and September to insure the focus of the objectives, review results of the various Innovative Programs, and discuss suggested changes or modifications.

  • Graduate courses must be approved by the Director of Staff Development, Best Practices and Innovative Programs, Courses must be relevant to the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards and/or the teacher’s position in the school district.

  • For the present, the parties designate the following as the respective places for giving notice: To SBBC: The School Board of Broward County, Florida Innovative Programs Design/Support Department ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ To the School: Renaissance Charter School at ▇▇▇▇▇▇ City– Loc.

  • A committee comprised of 12 members, six appointed by DTU and six appointed by the Employer, shall report the progress of these pilots to the DTU and the Employer on a quarterly basis.‌ Waivers or pilots established under section B (Contract Waiver and Oversight Committee) shall not be reviewed or monitored by the New and Innovative Programs Committee.
