Initial hire definition

Initial hire means the first time an eligible veteran is hired by LEA #452 provided, however, subsequent separation from the school for any reason will not result in the award of new preference with LEA #452. Temporary or casual employment does not qualify as an “initial hire.”

Examples of Initial hire in a sentence

  • Initial hire, probationary Employees shall be eligible to use a floating holiday upon the completion of sixty (60) calendar days of service.

  • Initial hire - At the time of initial hire, credit for previous collegiate teaching experience, equivalent teaching experience other than College teaching, and equivalent business, industrial, or professional experience is granted as determined by the administration.

  • Initial hire probationary employment is at will, and initial hire probationary employees may be separated from employment at any time during their probationary period based on unsatisfactory performance or for disciplinary reasons, as determined by the Fire Chief in his sole discretion.

  • Initial hire probationary employees do not have any property rights in the job.

  • Initial hire probationary employees may be assigned to any station and/or work shift.
