Initial Construction Completion and Acceptance Certificate definition

Initial Construction Completion and Acceptance Certificate. (CCC) shall mean a written document issued by the Consulting Engineer, or the Engineer if a Consulting Engineer is not engaged upon the Project, on a form and in manner acceptable to the Engineer, and upon satisfactory and actual completion of the Work as per the purposes for which the Work was intended and for which it is being used. The issuance of this Certificate shall mark the commencement of the Maintenance / Warranty period as defined further in this Section. Such Certificate may be issued with deficiencies, if such deficiencies are considered by the Engineer to be of a minor nature and do not impede the utilization of the Work. The Engineer shall be the sole authority, acting within the jurisdiction delegated to him, in making the decision to accept the Work as represented by the Certificate.
