Information Sharing Environment (ISE) definition

Information Sharing Environment (ISE) means the trusted partnership among all levels of government, the private sector and foreign partners to detect, prevent, preempt, and mitigate the effects of terrorism against the territory, people, and interests of the United States of America. This partnership enables the trusted, secure, and appropriate exchange of terrorism information, in the first instance, across the five federal communities, to and from state, local, and tribal governments, foreign allies, and the private sector, and at all levels of security classification.
