Information Privacy definition

Information Privacy means the right of an individual to have some control over who has access to his or her Personal Information and under what circumstances.
Information Privacy. All parties shall endeavor to hold any personal information received in the course of this Internship confidential, to the greatest extent permitted by University policy and applicable federal and state statutes.

Examples of Information Privacy in a sentence

  • To implement appropriate and reasonable administrative, technical, and 17 physical safeguards to protect the security, confidentiality and integrity of DHCS PI and PII, to protect 18 against anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of DHCS PI and PII, and to prevent use 19 or disclosure of DHCS PI or PII other than as provided for by this Personal Information Privacy and 20 Security Contract.

  • Information Privacy Principles means the information privacy principles set out in the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic).

  • Information Privacy and Security Laws means all applicable Legal Requirements relating to the processing, use, disclosure, collection, privacy, processing, transfer or security of Protected Information, surveillance, espionage or national security and all regulations promulgated and guidance issued by Governmental Bodies thereunder.

  • Personal Information Breach means an instance where an unauthorized person or entity accesses Personal Information in any manner, including but not limited to the following occurrences: (1) any Personal Information that is not encrypted or protected is misplaced, lost, stolen or in any way compromised; (2) one or more third parties have had access to or taken control or possession of any Personal Information that is not encrypted or protected without prior written authorization from the State; (3) the unauthorized acquisition of encrypted or protected Personal Information together with the confidential process or key that is capable of compromising the integrity of the Personal Information; or (4) if there is a substantial risk of identity theft or fraud to the client, the Contractor, the Department or State.
