Industry Authority definition

Industry Authority means a group of entities that, by virtue of their prominent standing in the media industry, by their adoption of, or preference for, a particular audience measurement service (including, for example, through widespread use or financial support), provide an important and recognized endorsement of such service in the audience measurement market, and potential status as an industry standard. Examples of such entities are joint industry committees, media owners committees and groups of prominent media companies.
