Industrial hammer, definition
Industrial hammer, as used in this chapter, shall mean and include smith-forging or open-frame forging, consisting of hammering metal with or between open-faced dies, and drop-forging, consisting of hammering metal with or between closed impression dies, and all kinds and types of hammers designed or used for industrial, fabricating or manufacturing purposes wherein the source of power utilized to raise or lower the ram of such hammer is steam, compressed air, mechanical or manual.
