Improvement Needed definition

Improvement Needed. Fails to meet expectations in one (1) or more job duties in a particular category. Specific area(s) needing improvement will be identified. A follow-up evaluation is required in the next semester in which the evaluee has an assignment.
Improvement Needed and “Unsatisfactory” performance levels require comments.
Improvement Needed or “Unsatisfactory” is present in the May Summative Evaluation in the area of Annual Performance column of the periodic assessment, the immediate supervisor may place a unit member on an improvement plan for Improvement Needed and shall place a unit member on an improvement plan for Unsatisfactory. However, a unit member may be placed on an improvement plan any time the standards are not being met and are reflected in any preliminary observation or periodic report.

Examples of Improvement Needed in a sentence

  • Disputes of overall annual PDP evaluations, that are less than satisfactory (Improvement Needed or Not Meeting Objectives) shall be subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure.

More Definitions of Improvement Needed

Improvement Needed on applicable ratings categories of an employee’s evaluation, nor shall they be issued other written memos or reprimands, due to extra work assignments caused by layoffs/reduction in hours.
Improvement Needed is given to a unit member on a regular performance evaluation, a PIP may be issued in concurrence within thirty (30) days to clarify expectations, and improve performance and/or behavior for a specific period of time. If a PIP is not issued in concurrence with an evaluation, then notice must be presented to the unit member before a PIP may be issued. Such notice shall be within thirty (30) days of the issuance of a PIP. A PIP may be issued any time during the annual evaluation period, and may be no less than thirty (30) but not more than ninety (90) days in duration. All PIP’s shall be subject to prior authorization by the division director or designee, shall be clearly noted as a PIP, and shall be subject to all other provisions of this Article.
Improvement Needed designates the ability to successfully integrate the elements of most CSTPs whereas “Does not meet District Standards” designates a lack of ability to successfully integrate most of the CSTPs.

Improvement Needed shall contain the reason for the rating in the Supervisor comments and should include how to successfully overcome the deficiency.
