IMO Conventions definition

IMO Conventions means international treaties associated with international commerce related to shipping, including safety. The subjects covered included tonnage measurement, the prevention of collisions, signaling and others. IMO was made responsible for ensuring that the majority of these conventions were kept up to date. It was also given the task of developing new conventions as and when the need arose;
IMO Conventions means the conventions for which the International Maritime Organization is the depository(33);

  • ICSID Convention means the Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes between States and Nationals of other States, done at Washington, March 18, 1965;
