Illegal or Improper Activity definition

Illegal or Improper Activity means an activity by a member of the Board of Directors, an employee, or a volunteer of the VRWD that is undertaken in the performance of that person's duties that is either: (1) a violation of any state or federal law or regulation including, but not limited to, corruption, malfeasance, bribery, theft of property, fraud, coercion, conversion, abuse of property or willful omission to perform a duty; or (2) violates VRWD policies, is economically wasteful, or involves gross misconduct or incompetency. Illegal or Improper Activity includes alleged financial, accounting or audit improprieties and alleged ethical violations by employees or Board members.

This includes, but is not limited to, participation on a board of directors, including that of a charitable organization, working part-time outside of MSIM, establishing a holding company for investments, investing in rental properties, or forming a limited partnership.

  • Sexual activity means sexual conduct or sexual contact, or both.

  • Illegal product means any product derived in whole or in part from illegal oil or illegal gas.

  • Allegation means any written or oral statement or other indication of possible scholarly misconduct made to an institutional official.

  • Illegal drugs means a controlled substance except for those legally possessed or used under the supervision of a licensed health-care professional or that is legally possessed or used under any other authority under the Controlled Substances Act or any other federal law.

  • Violent student means a student under the age of 21 who:

  • Racketeering activity means to commit, to attempt to commit, to conspire to commit, or to solicit, coerce, or intimidate another person to commit:

  • Activity means the rate of disintegration or transformation or decay of radioactive material. The units of activity are the becquerel (Bq) and the curie (Ci).

  • Violence means the unjustified infliction of physical force by a student with the intent to cause injury to another student or damage to the property of another student.

  • Sexual exploitation means any actual or attempted abuse of a position of vulnerability, differential power, or trust for sexual purposes. It includes profiting monetarily, socially, or politically from sexual exploitation of another.

  • Pattern of racketeering activity means the planned, ongoing, continuous or repeated participation or involvement in any offence referred to in Schedule 1 and includes at least two offences referred to in Schedule 1, of which one of the offences occurred after the commencement of this Act and the last offence occurred within 10 years (excluding any period of imprisonment) after the commission of such prior offence referred to in Schedule 1;

  • Intentional Wrongdoing means an act or omission taken or omitted by a Party with knowledge or intent that injury or damage could reasonably be expected to result.

  • Illegal drug means a controlled substance; but does not include a controlled substance that is legally possessed or used under the supervision of a licensed health-care professional or that is legally possessed or used under any other authority under that Act or under any other provision of Federal law.

  • Violent criminal activity means any criminal activity that has as one of its elements the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force substantial enough to cause, or be reasonably likely to cause, serious bodily injury or property damage.

  • invalid carriage means a mechanically propelled vehicle of which the weight unladen does not exceed 254 kilograms and which is specially designed and constructed, and not merely adapted, for the use of a person suffering from some physical default or disability and is used solely by such a person;

  • Unauthorized Third Party means any person or entity that, at the time of the Computer Fraud, is not an Authorized User.
