IHFS definition

IHFS means the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services which administers various health programs, including, but not limited to, the following: (i) Illinois Medical Assistance Program administered under Article V of the Illinois Public Aid Code (305 ILCS 5/5 et seq.) or its successor program, and Title XIX (42 UCS 1396 et aeq.) and XXI (42 USC 1397 aa et seq.) of the Social Security Act , and Section 12-4.35 of the Illinois Public Aid Code (305 ILCS 5/12-435) and (ii) the State Children’s Health Insurance Program administered under 215 ILCS 106 and Title XXI of the Social Security Act (42 USC 1397 aa et seq.).

  • PRACTICE shall cooperate and comply with HMO requests for information and respond to HMO with requested information required by IHFS and outlined in the HMO Provider Manual.

  • Each Member may elect to change his/her Primary Care Physician participating in the HMO Provider Network in accordance with HMO provisions, Laws and the IHFS Contract.

  • PRACTICE Providers shall furnish Covered Services to Members under the Agreement in a manner consistent with the requirements of all Laws; the IHFS Contract; all applicable HMO policies, procedures and guidelines, including, but not limited to, HMO’s compliance plan and such policies, procedures and initiatives for combating fraud, waste and abuse; the HMO Provider Manual; and professionally recognized standards of health care.

  • At minimum, such Records shall be sufficient to enable HMO to (i) evaluate PRACTICE’s performance, including accuracy of data submitted to HMO, and (ii) enforce HMO’s rights under the Agreement and in accordance with Laws, and (iii) support amounts charged to the State under HMO’s contract with IHFS.

  • The Parties acknowledge that all vendors involved in the provision of a Delegated Activity and Network PRACTICEs are considered Subcontractors or Downstream Subcontractors and that all Subcontractors and Downstream Subcontractors must comply with all provisions contained in this Agreement and with all of HMO’s contractual obligations with IHFS.

  • PRACTICE shall not request payment for Covered Services provided under this Agreement in any form from IHFS, CMS, HHS, or any other agency of the State of Illinois or the United States of America or their designees for items and services furnished in accordance with this Agreement, except as may be approved in advance by HMO and IHFS or CMS.

  • PRACTICE shall cooperate with any investigation by HMO, IHFS, HHS or their authorized designees relating to such Incident, and PRACTICE acknowledges that its failure to cooperate with any such investigation may result in a referral to law enforcement and/or other implementation of corrective actions permitted under Laws.

  • HMO shall, to the extent practical and feasible, undertake commercially reasonable efforts to advise PRACTICE in advance of the termination of the IHFS Contract.

  • Payments shall be made by HMO according to HMO claims payment procedures and pursuant to State Statutes or other Mandates that may apply to HMO, or any succeeding contractual provisions applicable, in the IHFS Contact with HMO.

  • Upon request, provision of a report to HMO of the activities of PRACTICE’s compliance program required by this Agreement, including, without limitation, reports and investigations, if any, of alleged failures to comply with laws, regulations, the terms and conditions of the IHFS Contract, or the Agreement so that HMO can fulfill its reporting obligations under Laws and the Medicaid Contract.

  • Digital Cross Connect System or "DCS" is a function which provides automated Cross Connection of Digital Signal Level 0 (DS0) or higher transmission bit rate digital channels within physical interface facilities. Types of DCS include but are not limited to DCS 1/0s, DCS 3/1s, and DCS 3/3s, where the nomenclature 1/0 denotes interfaces typically at the DS1 rate or greater with Cross Connection typically at the DS0 rate. This same nomenclature, at the appropriate rate substitution, extends to the other types of DCS specifically cited as 3/1 and 3/3. Types of DCS that cross connect Synchronous Transport Signal level 1 (STS-1 s) or other Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) signals (e.g., STS-3) are also DCS, although not denoted by this same type of nomenclature. DCS may provide the functionality of more than one of the aforementioned DCS types (e.g., DCS 3/3/1 which combines functionality of DCS 3/3 and DCS 3/1). For such DCS, the requirements will be, at least, the aggregation of requirements on the "component" DCS. In locations where automated Cross Connection capability does not exist, DCS will be defined as the combination of the functionality provided by a Digital Signal Cross Connect (DSX) or Light Guide Cross Connect (LGX) patch panels and D4 channel banks or other DS0 and above multiplexing equipment used to provide the function of a manual Cross Connection. Interconnection is between a DSX or LGX to a Switch, another Cross Connection, or other service platform device.

  • TELRIC means Total Element Long-Run Incremental Cost.

  • WorkSafeBC means the Workers Compensation Board, a provincial Crown corporation created pursuant to the Workers Compensation Act (British Columbia);
