The IFU provide important information for the proper use of the medical device, definition of the intended use of the equipment, explanation of the user interface, safety instructions and warnings for the user, instructions how to deal with inherent residual risks, avoidance of misuse, cleaning and/or sterilization instructions, list of accessories and consumables validated by the manufacturer, requirements for safety inspections of the equipment requirements for (planned) maintenance.
