ICF/MRIDD definition
ICF/MRIDD means an intermediate care facilities facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities. the mentally retarded. Federal law and regulations use the term "intermediate care facilities for the mentally retarded (ICF/MR)". The Department prefers to use the accepted term "individual with intellectual disability (ID)" instead of "mental retardation (MR)". However, as ICF/MR is the abbreviation currently used in all federal requirements, ICF/MR is used.
