  • For submissions containing animal use, proposals should briefly describe plans for their Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) review and approval.

  • In accordance with these requirements, proposed projects involving use of any vertebrate animal for research or education must be approved by the submitting organization's Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) before an award can be made.

Any changes or adjustments in the designs, aims, or research plans as proposed in the application; any changes requiring IRB and/or IACUC approval; and any change that may result in a conflict of interest, must be submitted in writing and are subject to Department approval prior to the change taking place.
