IACUC definition

IACUC means an institutional animal care and use committee established in accordance with and for the purposes expressed in 9CFR2 Subpart C (U.S. Department of Agriculture Policy for Care and Use of Animals).

  • For submissions containing animal use, proposals should briefly describe plans for their Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) review and approval.

  • The Grantee must complete the work as described in the application.b. Any changes or adjustments in the designs, aims, or research plans as proposed in the application; any changes requiring IRB and/or IACUC approval; and any change that may result in a conflict of interest, must be submitted in writing and are subject to Department approval prior to the change taking place.

  • If a decision is made to fund the proposal, the organization must provide a copy of the approval letter from the IACUC.

IACUC means Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee. “ILAR” shall mean Institute of Laboratory Animal Resources. “AAALAC” shall mean the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International. “OLAW” shall mean the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare.
IACUC means, in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act codified in Title 9 C.F.R., Chapter 1, Subchapter A - Animal Welfare, Parts 1, 2, and 3, an institutional committee established to protect the welfare of animals used in research and education.
IACUC means the Atrium Health Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.
