Humanity Fund definition

Humanity Fund deduction as aforesaid shall be for the fifth (5th) week following ratification of the Agreement. It is understood and agreed that participation by any employee in the bargaining unit in the program of deductions set forth above may be discontinued by any employee in the bargaining unit after the receipt by the Company and the Local Union of that employee’s written statement of his desire to discontinue such deductions from his pay which may be received during the four (4) weeks following ratification of the Agreement or at any time thereafter. It is agreed that the total for each employees’ yearly deduction will be entered in Box 46 (Charitable Contribution) of the Revenue Canada T4 slip for the year it has been deducted. For this purpose, the payroll department will note the following Charitable Donation number for the “Humanity Fund”: R119172278 RR 0001.

Examples of Humanity Fund in a sentence

  • The monies so deducted shall be remitted to the charitable foundation known as the CEP Humanity Fund no later than the 15th day of the month following the month in which the hours were worked.

  • The Company will advise in writing both the Humanity Fund at the aforementioned address and the Local Union that such payment has been made, the amount of such payment and the names of all employees in the bargaining unit on whose behalf such payment has been made.

  • Employees may opt out of the Humanity Fund by providing written notice of their desire to do so to the Local Union, who shall advise the University of this request.

  • The first Humanity Fund deduction as aforesaid shall be for the sixth month following ratification of this agreement.

Related to Humanity Fund

  • Provident Fund means any fund (other than a pension fund, benefit fund or retirement annuity fund) which is approved by the Minister in respect of the year of assessment in question: Provided that the Minister may approve a fund subject to such limitations or conditions as he or she may determine, and shall not approve a fund in respect of any year of assessment unless he or she is in respect of that year of assessment satisfied -

  • Endowment fund means an institutional fund or part thereof that, under the terms of a gift instrument, is not wholly expendable by the institution on a current basis. The term does not include assets that an institution designates as an endowment fund for its own use.

  • Cancer means the presence of one or more malignant tumours including Hodgkin’s disease, leukaemia and other malignant bone marrow disorders, and characterised by the uncontrolled growth and spread of malignant cells and the invasion and destruction of normal tissue, but does not include the following:

  • General Account consists of all our assets other than those held in any separate investment accounts.

  • Third Party Funds means any segregated accounts or funds, or any portion thereof, received by Borrower or any of its Subsidiaries as agent on behalf of third parties in accordance with a written agreement that imposes a duty upon Borrower or one or more of its Subsidiaries to collect and remit those funds to such third parties.

  • Subsidy Funds With respect to any Subsidy Loans, funds contributed by the employer of a Mortgagor in order to reduce the payments required from the Mortgagor for a specified period in specified amounts.

  • Program fund means the program fund established under section 12D.4.

  • Insurance Fund means the pest control insurance fund established pursuant to this compact.

  • Insurance Affordability Program means a program that is one of the following:

  • the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund means the registered charity of that name (number 1173260) established on 30th May 2017;

  • Public fund means the state treasurer or a retirement system.

  • Community Accountability Planning Submission means the HSP Board approved planning document submitted by the HSP to the LHIN. The form, content and scheduling of the Planning Submission will be identified by the LHIN;

  • Guaranty fund means the fund established by a local entity under Section 11-42-701.

  • Graduate medical education and disproportionate share fund or “GME/DSH fund” means a reimbursement fund developed as an adjunct reimbursement methodology to directly reimburse qualifying hospitals for the direct and indirect costs associated with the operation of graduate medical education programs and the costs associated with the treatment of a disproportionate share of poor, indigent, nonreimbursed or nominally reimbursed patients for inpatient services.

  • Sub-Fund means a segregated pool of assets and liabilities into which the Trust Fund is divided, established under the Trust Deed and the relevant supplemental deed as a separate trust as described in the relevant Appendix.

  • General anesthesia means a drug-induced loss of consciousness during which patients are not arousable, even by painful stimulation. The ability to independently maintain ventilatory function is often impaired. Patients often require assistance in maintaining a patent airway, and positive pressure ventilation may be required because of depressed spontaneous ventilation or drug-induced depression of neuromuscular function. Cardiovascular function may be impaired.

  • Insurance Company The Transferee is an insurance company whose primary and predominant business activity is the writing of insurance or the reinsuring of risks underwritten by insurance companies and which is subject to supervision by the insurance commissioner or a similar official or agency of a state, U.S. territory or the District of Columbia.

  • Pension Fund means any person that:

  • Behavioral therapy means interactive therapies derived from evidence-based research, including applied behavior analysis, which includes discrete trial training, pivotal response training, intensive intervention programs, and early intensive behavioral intervention.

  • Hospice patient s family" means a hospice patient's immediate family members, including a spouse, brother, sister, child, or parent, and any other relative or individual who has significant personal ties to the patient and who is designated as a member of the patient's family by mutual agreement of the patient, the relative or individual, and the patient's interdisciplinary team.

  • Community mental health center or "CMHC" means a facility offering a comprehensive array of community-based mental health services, including but not limited to, inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, emergency care, consultation and education; and, certain services at the option of the center, including, but not limited to, prescreening, rehabilitation services, pre-care and aftercare, training programs, and research and evaluation.

  • Adopt a comprehensive land use plan means to enact a new

  • Fund of Funds means a registered investment company or series of a Fund which is managed and administered by Service Company and which invests substantially all of its assets in shares of two or more Funds (or series thereof).

  • Diversional Therapist means a person who provides, facilitates and co-ordinates group and individual leisure and recreational activities.
