Humanely destroy definition
Humanely destroy means to destroy in accordance with section 28;
Humanely destroy means the destruction of an animal accomplished by a method that involves instantaneous unconsciousness and immediate death, or by a method that causes painless loss of consciousness and death during such loss of consciousness. The term shall include euthanasia in a manner consistent with best veterinary practices; provided, that the term is not interpreted to exclude other humane destruction of animals without the assistance of a licensed veterinarian.
